Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy governs refunds and cancellations for credit purchases made on Chitravan Studio, operated by Chitravan Technologies. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.
1. Credit Purchases
Chitravan Studio sells credits in packs. Credits are used to pay for AI generation tasks such as image generation, video clip creation, voiceover synthesis, and script writing.
Because AI generation tasks consume real third-party API costs at the time of the request, credits that have been used for generation are non-refundable under any circumstances.
2. Eligibility for Refund
You are eligible for a refund of unused credits if:
- You request the refund within 7 calendar days of the purchase date.
- The credits from that purchase have not been fully or partially consumed.
- Your account is in good standing (not suspended for policy violations).
Refunds are not available for:
- Credits that have been partially or fully consumed.
- Welcome/signup bonus credits (these are complimentary and non-refundable).
- Credit packs purchased more than 7 days ago.
- Accounts that have violated our Terms of Service.
3. Failed Generations
If a generation task fails due to a technical error on our end (server error, AI provider outage, or processing failure), the credits deducted for that task will be automatically restored to your account within 24 hours. You do not need to contact support for this — it is handled automatically.
Credits are not restored if the generation completed successfully but you are dissatisfied with the output quality. AI generation involves inherent variability, and we encourage using the free welcome credits to evaluate quality before purchasing.
4. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund for eligible unused credits:
- Email us at support@chitravan.co.in with the subject line: "Refund Request — [your registered email]"
- Include your registered email address, the date of purchase, and the amount paid.
- We will verify your request and respond within 3 business days.
5. Refund Processing
- Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method (credit/debit card, UPI, net banking) via Razorpay.
- Refunds typically reflect within 5–10 business days depending on your bank or payment provider.
- The Razorpay platform fee (if any) is non-refundable as per Razorpay's policy.
6. Account Cancellation
You may delete your account at any time from your Profile settings. Account deletion is permanent and irrecoverable. Any remaining credits at the time of deletion are forfeited and will not be refunded unless you request a refund before deleting your account (subject to the eligibility criteria above).
7. Disputes
If you are unsatisfied with our refund decision, you may escalate the matter to our Grievance Officer at support@chitravan.co.in. Unresolved disputes will be handled in accordance with the governing law provisions of our Terms of Service.
