Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Chitravan Studio ("Service"), operated by Chitravan Technologies("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Chitravan Studio is an AI-powered creative platform for producing short-form videos (primarily YouTube Shorts). The Service enables you to:

  • Generate scripts, voiceovers, keyframe images, video clips, and complete assembled videos using third-party AI models.
  • Upload your own audio, images, video clips, or character reference images to use in projects.
  • Optionally connect a YouTube channel (via Google OAuth 2.0, read-only scopes) to map each Chitravan episode to the video you published, and view per-video analytics inside your Chitravan dashboard.

The Service is provided on a credit-based model. Credits are consumed when AI generation tasks are performed. Uploading assets and viewing analytics do not consume credits.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service.
  • You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent credit limits is prohibited.

3. Credits & Payments

  • Credits are a virtual currency used to pay for AI generation tasks. Credits have no real-world monetary value outside the Service and are non-transferable between accounts.
  • New accounts receive a one-time welcome credit bonus as stated at the time of registration. This bonus is subject to change without notice.
  • Paid credit packs are processed via Razorpay. All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
  • Credits do not expire and are not subject to subscription cycles.
  • Unused credits may be refunded in accordance with our Refund Policy.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to generate, upload, distribute, or promote content that:

  • Is illegal under applicable Indian or international law.
  • Infringes any intellectual property rights of third parties.
  • Is sexually explicit, obscene, or involves minors in any harmful manner.
  • Incites violence, hatred, or discrimination based on race, religion, gender, or other characteristics.
  • Constitutes spam, phishing, or any form of fraudulent communication.
  • Impersonates any person, entity, or brand in a misleading way.
  • Is intended to deceive others by presenting AI-generated content as authentic without disclosure.

User uploads: for any audio, image, video, or character reference image you upload to the Service, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own the rights to the uploaded content, or have obtained all necessary licences, permissions, and consents to use and share it on the Service.
  • The content does not violate the prohibitions above.
  • You will not upload biometric data, personal identifiers of third parties, or health data without appropriate lawful basis.

Connected YouTube channels: when you connect a YouTube channel you explicitly authorize Chitravan to read (but not modify) metadata and analytics for your own channel via the YouTube Data API and YouTube Analytics API, under the read-only scopes disclosed on the consent screen. Our use of YouTube API Services is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service. You may revoke this access at any time from your Chitravan profile or from your Google Account permissions page.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these restrictions without prior notice.

5. Intellectual Property

Your content: You retain ownership of any original creative inputs (scripts, ideas, prompts) you provide to the Service, and of any assets you upload (audio, images, video, avatars). By uploading, you grant Chitravan a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and combine those assets with AI- generated elements solely to produce outputs within your own projects.

AI outputs: For AI-generated outputs produced through your use of the Service, you are granted a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, distribute, and display those outputs for personal and commercial purposes, subject to applicable law and these Terms.

Analytics data: Metrics we fetch from your connected YouTube channel belong to you. We store snapshots only for display inside your own Chitravan dashboard and do not claim any rights over them.

Our platform: The Service, including its design, code, trademarks, and platform assets (the pre-built library of clips, images, and music), is owned by or licensed to the Company. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the platform itself.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service uses the following third-party providers. Generation quality, availability, and pricing are subject to their systems, and their own terms and privacy policies apply in addition to ours:

  • Amazon Web Services: hosting, object storage, CDN.
  • Google / YouTube: sign-in and, optionally, YouTube Data + Analytics APIs for connected channels.
  • Razorpay: payment processing.
  • Anthropic, fal.ai, ElevenLabs, HeyGen, Replicate, Kling: AI generation providers.
  • Crisp: in-app support chat.
  • Pixabay: royalty-free curated music library.

We are not responsible for outages or quality variations caused by third-party services. Credits consumed on failed generations are restored automatically where technically feasible. See our Privacy Policy for the data each provider processes on our behalf.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE COMPANY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or for any other reason with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Unused credits at the time of Company- initiated termination (without cause) will be refunded. Credits are not refunded for user-initiated account deletions.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India. We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any issue informally before pursuing legal action.
